I don't know the points!

Those sound so good. I am not real sure about the amount of points different things are and I really don't know what is completely off limits or if anything is. My understanding of WW is that nothing is really off limits but it is all about portion control. Like I said I don't know points but I 'think' fresh fruits and veggies are 0 but please correct me if I am wrong.

We are having steak (are different kind different points?), zucchini and mushrooms on the grill, pineapple, and probably baked potatoes. Then later tonight we will probably have yogurt ice cream as dessert. I don't know how many points this would be though.

Jamie, do you have a lot of the books with the point system or do you know if Jake will get that stuff? I am just curious to know the points.

  1. Jake can look it up online. Yes, different kinds of steak will end up being different points. Veggies are zero points (except potatoes, corn, peas, beans, etc.) and all fruit has a point value, typically pretty low, but it does have points because of the sugar in fruit.

You are right about the portion control. If you look up the points online, you really have to pay attention to the portion size. For example, if you find out that a sirloin is 4 points, that's for a 3 ounce steak. That's not very big. So, you just have to be careful.

  2. Yep, you have to watch the steaks. Avoid ribeyes and other fatty cuts. Seems like skirt steak is generally the lowest in points. I always just try to trim off all the fat while I'm eating it.

  3. This isn't everything, but here's a website with some points values. You may be able to google it and find something better.
